Waiting outside the museum before the competition. So hungry!!
Justin had his first body building competition last night. What an experience! I’d never been to a competition like that before and honestly, never had the desire to do so. But I wanted to support my son. He’s worked so hard and put himself through a lot to get ready for this. And it wasn’t so bad. You actually get caught up in it all and you can see that the guys have worked so hard. You can’t help but be impressed with what they’ve accomplished.
Justin takes 1st place!
Justin took 1st prize for the teen men’s category! He was feeling pretty good. Quite a few of his friends came to support him as well as the parents of one of his closest friends. It was nice to see that he had so much support. I’m very proud of him.

Afterwards we walked to the Hard Rock Cafe for a celebratory meal. Justin hadn’t eaten much for days before the competition and he was famished! We were all hungry because the whole ordeal lasted so much longer than any of us had anticipated and we did not pack snacks to sustain us. (Lesson learned for future competitions.)
It was a great experience for Justin and I’m glad I was able to be there.

Wow – Congrats Justin! That is quite an accomplishment and one I couldnt even fathom training for.
